About StatementKit
StatementKit is a small independent project that builds practical, private tools for people who handle bank statements and invoices: small-business owners, bookkeepers, accountants and freelancers.
How the tools work
Everything happens in your browser. The converter uses the open-source PDF.js library to read the text of your statement, then our own code finds the columns and proves each row against the running balance. Excel files are written with SheetJS and invoice PDFs with jsPDF, both open source and served from this site. The privacy page explains why nothing can be uploaded.
What they can't do yet
- Scanned or photographed statements (no text inside the PDF).
- Credit card statements, and banks whose layouts we haven't tested.
- Accounting formats such as Tally XML, QBO or OFX.
- E-invoices (IRN/QR), e-way bills, credit notes and invoices in Indian scripts.
The bank layouts are built from general knowledge of how these statements look and tested on synthetic statements, not on real customer data. That's why every result shows its balance check: if a layout is read wrongly, you'll see it.
Report a problem
If a statement converts badly, please describe the layout (for example "the Withdrawal heading is on two lines"), but never send us the statement itself or any account details.
Write to us at [email protected].
Not a bank
We are not a bank and not affiliated with any bank. Converted files are working copies, not official documents.
